and here's what was in it (except for the Himalayan sea salt that I bought at Marshalls today on a tip from Robb ). Also included was some teryaki sauce and a Kuurz Lot keychain bottle opener in the shape of a guitar (YES!!! ;D) except that I only drink from aluminum cans sitting in a car in the yard that's up on cinder blocks... ...stupid camera went off before I could get my favorite shirt all the way on for the photo op (DAMMIT BOY!!!) The beef jerky was excellent although I make mine a tad thicker than this. The box had a big hole in it but all the goodies were intact. If something fell out I wouldn't know but the stuff inside the box was ok. Maybe I can get the food fairy to send a box to willie too since the fairy knows his mailing address. That would be very nice of the fairy.

All great stuff. My son Stephen serves as my "food fairy", sending me spices and cookbooks from Japan and Korea. That Old Bay you've got is an awesome spice/condiment. here are some ideas on how you can use it...
-Sprinkle it on some oil-roasted peanuts. (not dry roasted - it won't stick) -Sprinkle it on shrimp or crabs. Oh, Hell no....DUMP it on them. -Garnish a little on your potato salad or deviled eggs. -Add a little into your crab cakes. -Sprinkle on your home-made potato chips or french fries. -Use instead of plain salt in your fried chicken or fish recipe -Shred cabbage & carrots for slaw, add a little vinegar & spice & let sit for a day....stir every so often. Chesapeake Kim Chee!
Love the stuff....lots of ways to use it!

I'm going to try the slaw idea this weekend with smoked ribs. Thanks for the ideas! And a HUGE thank you to our resident philanthropist - Toenails McGee, the food fairy.
