I was watching a news report this morning in which MM reps stated that fans of the fine whiskey made it clear that they'd rather suffer from occasional shortages than they would see MM water down their libation....so MM has reversed it's earlier decision to reduce the alcohol content of their drink. Price hikes may also be in order.
(Man, I should get all SORTS of exaltations for bringing this good news!)

I went to the Distillery when in KY. Even hand dipped a bottle . I wish they lets us dip one like in the commercial. The way the wax is dipped on the bottle makes some of the older ones more expensive.

What distiller would advertise watering down their product? Just didn't sound right. IMO, this was a genius marketing move. One, it probably goosed sales of folks that were worried about losing their favorite drink, and, two, when the company bowed to "customer pressure", it reinforces the idea that the stuff is somehow special and there are a bunch of loyal drinkers of it that love it; and three, it's free advertising as the news is spread. Brilliant!

I like MM especially the 46. Got be honest here folx.....I prefer MANY other Bourbons over MM...not in any order: Ol Grand dad, Evan Williams, Wild turkey.... I TRY to convince myself that MM is top of the heap, but in the end, Itz down near the bottom with Jack Daniels (which can't even be CALLED a straight bourbon.....)..... Hell, I even prefer Jim f-in BEAM to MM......guess its just me....

My preference is Virginia Gentleman. Plus, before the distillery in Reston, Virginia closed down over 30 years ago I was blessed with a few bottles of a special aged bourbon which was tapped, unfiltered, from the oak barrel. That whiskey is now over 50 years old...I only share it with special people at special times. I have only two bottles left.

Meanwhile, on Cowboy's recommendation a few years ago, I've gotten into whiskey made by the George Dickel distillery. Very nice.

Gawd those old men in Lynchburg would strap you to the Charcoal fire if they heard you say that ;D
