HOUSTON -- There has been no pressure placed on Atlanta towards changing its nickname or banning the Tomahawk Chop by its fans, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said Tuesday, supporting Atlanta’s stance.
“I think it’s important to understand that we have 30 markets in the country,’’ Manfred said. “Not all are the same. The Braves have done a phenomenal job with the Native American community. The Native American community in that region is fully supportive of the Braves’ program, including the chop.
Where was the support from Manfred for the Tribe?

Now, it's ok because the locals tribes say they are fine with it? Seems like a double standard.

Manfred would have had to stand in front of 50,000 booing fans to present the trophy. But Braves fans in Houston were kind enough to stay after game six in order to properly greet Manfred with boos all during his wimpy speech. There was a full stadium at Truist Park and the Battery was filled with cheering Braves fans. Estimates are that abut 70,000 fans were present inside and outside the ballpark in Marietta for the games. Who needs an All-Star game anyway?

With or without foam tomahawks. In Atlanta? Where when they let the pigeons fly for the opening Olympic ceremonies, guys were waiting outside the stadium like it was opening day of dove season, playing 1812 Overture.

LOL To answer your question... no. It was an overreaction by the organization to avoid issues after the Cardinals pitcher complained. He was offended and that is perfectly fine but there are obviously a lot of tribes and tribals members who have no issue with the chop. I just found it ironic that they no longer seem to care.
