i still believe in the vaccine and booster.  but i no longer trust anything that comes out of the CDC or from this current administration.  biden said the vaccine would end covid and he was wrong.  those were his words.  he was wrong and hasn't owned up to it.  the CDC said boosters wouldn't be necessary at first, then said only the elderly should get them.  then they said everyone should get it.  they said the J&J vaccine was great.  then they said the J&J vaccine was shit after 2 months.    and now they are hinting that vaccine is not really effective for younger kids.  i lost faith in this administrations response to covid.  they make all these declarative statements that turn out to be off but never correct themselves or admit they were wrong.  i read doctors who say the new variant is not a big deal and i read doctors who say we are in for hell b/c of the new variant.  everything is very confusing.  i don't want people to get sick or die but i dont' want everyone to be in constant fear all the time.  just figure out a way to treat people who get sick and lets move on.

You make it sound as if Covid is this static, unchanging virus that never evolves or adapts and that science understands completely.
It isn't.
Don't know why that is so hard to understand.
Statements made pre-delta and now pre-omicron versions cannot be evaluated as if the two variants never happened.
If you listened to the science, it told you early on that the longer there was a gap in total vaxes, leaving space for the virus to florish anywhere, that lethal mutations were possible and inevitable.
That science has been consistent and it has been shown to be true.
