My Grand daughter is spending her Xmass break with us again, and she's studying to be an Astrophysicist. in Huntsville. She showed me some of the graphics online that show the deployment and the way it's fitted in the capsule, Pretty cool stuff. She says if it gets to where it's supposed to go , it will be a whole new ball game as to what they can discover about our universe. Something I didn't know is that they are launching it from New Gianna because its close to the equator. That way they use the speed from the rotation of the earth to help propel it to its destination. |

WAY COOL! I thought it interesting that the deployment, a million miles from Earth is because it is at the point where the gravity of the Earth and Sun are about equal, thus freeing it from any significant gravitational forces. It's just gonna sit there, doing its thing. Now I'm starting to get jacked about this! |
