My youngest daughter tested positive for COVID on Thursday. My wife and I started feeling sick yesterday, and tested positive today.
I'm guessing it's the Omicron variant, because my wife and I are both fully vaccinated -- with third boosters this fall.
I almost never get sick, BTW.
FYI. I've had a cough for the past 24 hours, with mild bronchitis, sinusitis, and diffuse myalgias. No other symptoms.
The incubation period for Omicron is about three days, as is the symptomatic phase, sans complications.
My daughter is already feeling better today. My wife and I were able to sit in the living room while everyone exchanged presents this morning, with difficulty.
One thing to know about Omicron is that it is more contagious than Delta, and spreads rapidly through the population, partly because of the shorter incubation period.

Ivermectin knocked out all symptoms in 3 days for me. Just some tiredness the next day or two Back to about 90% in less than a week👍

Only the vaccine twice and a booster afterward bitch slaps covid, settled science! The OP says it and believes it, lol. Except that, as Donald Trump, himself, recently pointed out, "only the unvaccinated are dying." Trump is correct. During this past fall, more than 99% of COVID deaths in the U.S. occurred in the unvaccinated. Omicron is, apparently, causing break through infections in vaccinated people, but the data from the U.K. is a bit puzzling. COVID death rates from Omicron don't appear to correlate with case rates. As for Ivermectin, its efficacy in treating COVID-- in comparison with a placebo control -- is still doubtful. Here's a fairly recent meta-analysis. Efficacy and safety of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19: a systematic review and meta-analysisacademic.oup.com/qjmed/article/114/10/721/6375958October 2021 Results
Three OSs and 14 RCTs were included in the review. Most RCTs were rated as having some concerns in regards to risk of bias, while OSs were mainly rated as having a moderate risk of bias. Based on meta-analysis of RCTs, the use of ivermectin was not associated with reduction in time to viral clearance, duration of hospitalization, incidence of mortality and incidence of mechanical ventilation. Ivermectin did not significantly increase incidence of adverse events. Meta-analysis of OSs agrees with findings from RCT studies.
Conclusions
Based on very low to moderate quality of evidence, ivermectin was not efficacious at managing COVID-19. Its safety profile permits its use in trial settings to further clarify its role in COVID-19 treatment.
