It seems that LSU most likely won't have a real QB playing in tonight's Texas Bowl. In total, 30 players from this year's team will NOT play in the bowl. |

Not as legit as Tennessee was screwed by the ACC refs, but a fact that is hard to ignore insofar as winning a bowl game is concerned.
The next game I will watch is the CFPNCG next Monday Night.

Of course it is a fact. It's also an excuse. One I am sure is addressed in the book. LOL There are chapters in the book about SEC dominance in the National Championship Playoffs and the old BCS.
This year's chapter is titled "Alabama and Georgia -- The 2 Best Teams in 2021."

Just about what I expected.
LSU had no offense. LSU had no defense.
Still, I give those kids props for going out and playing hard even though they were overmatched. I saw some pretty good play from guys whose names I didn't even know.
Some good recruiting now and some intense spring training under Brian Kelly and the new coaches he is bringing in, and LSU just might be pretty good in the 2022 season.
I'd like to see them use some of the plays they tried tonight with first stringers at all 11 positions.

Just about what I expected.

I thought LSU played well given the circumstances. They could have mailed it in, but didn't. They get props from me for that. I consider that game a head start on next year's practice for the players who are returning. It also gave Brian Kelly a chance to see how his players reacted when their backs were against the wall.
It was hilarious watching the K State players celebrating like they had won some awesome victory against a Top 10 team.
