As is my son, and wife. It is my sincere hope that we just go ahead and legalize recreational use. Treat it like alcohol, tax the shit out of it, and stop acting like the world will end because folks smoke (or eat, or absorb) pot, which, in my experience, isn't any worse than alcohol, and in many ways, it is better. I have no problem with treating marijuana like alcohol, but there is no instant presumptive chemical test to determine if someone is operating a motor vehicle under its influence, nor am I aware of any physical field sobriety test for it. But I've been retired for 14 years, so maybe someone has developed a FST by now. All I know is that if we are going to legalize it, we must find a way to deter people from driving, flying, performing surgery, etc., while stoned. It's been about 40 years since I've had any pot, but my recollection was that if you asked me to drive stoned, I'd have said something like, "Are you nuts?! I am F-d up. We'll all die if you make me drive!" It was the one great difference between alcohol and pot. With booze, you think you're okay when you're not, while with dope you are damn sure you're too high and should not operate a vehicle.

Your experience does not equate to the general population.
And you are wrong again.
I knew I was too drunk to drive several times, but I did it anyway.
No one thinks anything bad will happen to him until it does.

Alcohol fukcs normal people up WAY more than pot does. I was never too high to drive stoned but way too drunk to drive, both on many occasions 40 years ago. Wolly <----- what a fukcin pussy. And just think, the pot 40 years ago didn't do jack shit compared to the stuff now.

It clears your system pretty quickly, at least as to the intoxicating effects, and there are the psychological effects, as well as some medical benefits if you're using it to treat real health issues.
