Just like any private party sale, it is smart to draw up a bill of sale identifying the parties involved, a description of the item sold, and the selling price, but it is NOT mandatory.
This protects everyone involved in the sale in case questions arise at a later date, but that information does not need to be shared with anyone else.

Once I have bought a gun from an FFL dealer, and have passed the BATFE background check, what I do with that gun from that point forward is no one's business, if I say it is not their business.  I am only restricted from KNOWINGLY transferring that firearm to a person who is legally barred from owning it.

You really should bother to learn a few laws here and there.

So if Biden simply adopts your outlook on the matter, opposes illegal guns crossing the border, but not enough to care about paperwork, you're okay with it? If the gun is discovered as it crosses the border, nobody needs to ask any Qs about it?

Our laws REQUIRE a lot of things regarding guns. It just has no way of enforcing them. So next time you complain about the proliferation of illegal guns across ANY border, be it Mexico into the US or Indiana into Illinois, look in the mirror.
