Had an upset stomach after dinner Monday night. Went to bed early and slept soundly. Tuesday morning I slept until about 10 am. Stomach queasy and couldn't even have a cup of coffee or any food. Took a nap abut 1 pm (I never nap during the day) and woke up about 6pm. Still couldn't eat so drank some milk and back to bed. Same routine through Thursday morning. I estimated I slept 15 hours a day. Ran a fever of 101-103. Called doc and went in Friday. Doc said I had pneumonia and white cell count of 36,000. Chest xray, blood workup agreed. Doc said had I gotten there earlier in the week she would have sent me to ER. I grinned and said, "Why do you think I waited so long?"
I ate two saltines Thursday night and a banana. First food I ate since Monday night. Ate some toast today. Doc calls me every day to check on me. I have a follow up doc visit Wednesday am. Still very tired but a little stronger the last couple of days. Drinking Gatorade Zero[/i][/font]
