Hockey is a sport where the game just goes to a completely different level during the playoffs. The Bolt-Leaf game last night was fantastic. I was pretty pleased with outcome, too.  Outside of the first two days of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the Stanley Cup Playoffs are the best playoffs to watch. Last night's games were pretty fantastic as well... Jake Oettinger made 64 saves and lost! High drama in the NYR/PIT series, too where the Rangers came back from down 3-1 to win it. If you are looking for good hockey in the second round, EDM/CGY will be a good one but the TB/FLA might be must watch TV. Two teams loaded with talent that don't like each other all that much. |

The Colorado Avalanche are up 2-0 against Edmonton in the Western Finals.
Guys are suddenly talking about the Avs on the golf courses this week.

There is no way The Bolts should have won that game.
But the epic whiff 5 feet from an open net by the Rangers late in the 3rd was evidence that this BOLTS team has the magic dust.

79% of the time the game 5 winner wins the series. Interesting sidebar: The Islanders did it 5 times in the 80s. WOW. The exceptions are rare (obviously) but we did it early this year against the Leafs in round 1, winning Games 6 and 7 after losing Game 5. Those Isles teams were something, though, so not at all surprised they did it as often as they did. Appreciate the support! #GoBolts⚡ |

The good guys keep on keeping on. I kept expecting Igor Shesterkin to have a bad game in the series and it never happened. Very bright future for that guy but his offense let him down... and I am ok with that. 🙂
Bolts have now won 11 straight postseason series becoming only the third team to ever accomplish that and the first in the salary cap era). Pat Maroon's personal streak is now 15 straight series.
