You don't punish 300 million people by trying to deny them their RIGHTS because of the bad actions of a few. You don't discriminate by age when it comes to a RIGHT.
You don't deny a person his right to due process when it comes to a RIGHT.
At 18, people have the RIGHT to vote.
If they are mature enough at 18 to determine the leaders of our country, they are mature enough to own firearms.
The gov't has no business knowing what property an individual owns.
If I WANT to operate my car on a public highway or my boat on public waters, then I will pay the fees in order to exercise that PRIVILEGE. If I WANT to fly on a privately owned aircraft, then I will pay the fees and obey the restrictions put forth by the owners/operators of those aircraft, in order to exercise my PRIVILEGE to fly. Same with my PRIVILEGE to take a cruise.
I hate to tell you anti-gun bozos this, but DEMONRATS own guns too, and they are not going to surrender their rights, either.

Geez...how stupid is this post, coming from a guy who lives in a region of the U.S. stolen from the Creek, Choctaw, and Cherokee Nations? Newsflash. The entire Western Hemisphere was stolen from Native Americans by European colonists after 1491. Colorado was a blip on the historic screen. As for Chivington, he was a Methodist preacher from Ohio who joined the Union Army and defeated Texas Confederates trying to invade Colorado in the Battle of Glorietta Pass. At the time, there was a Civil War out here between Confederate slave owners and U.S. citizens in the Colorado Indian Territory. A number of Native American tribes were fighting with the Confederate rebels against the United States. Concurrently, some local Native American tribes-- including the Cheyenne "Dog Soldiers"-- were waging a war against white settlers in Colorado. Even prior to the Colorado Indian War of 1864, local Utes had raided and massacred white settlers along the Arkansas River here. Granted the U.S. kept violating treaties, but it wasn't all sweetness and light on either side of the bloody conflicts with the local Plains "Indians." |

To be fair, it should be noted that over 100 of the Colorado Calvary resisted the orders of the Colorado leader, Chivington, and refused to be involved. |
