Geez...how stupid is this post, ......................... At dawn on November 29, 1864, approximately 675 U.S. volunteer soldiers commanded by Colonel John M. Chivington attacked a village. Over the course of eight hours the troops killed around 230 Cheyenne and Arapaho people composed mostly of women, children, and the elderly. They used artillery to send the women, children and elderly into the open Sand Creek area. Then gunned them down.
To be fair, it should be noted that over 100 of the Colorado Calvary resisted the orders of the Colorado leader, Chivington, and refused to be involved. Daleko, Learn how to read, fella. Have you studied the 500 year history of European genocide against Native Americans in the Western Hemisphere? The Spaniards after 1492 -- in Hispaniola, Cuba, Florida, Mexico, Peru, etc.? Massive carnage. Andrew Jackson's wars against the Seminoles, Creeks, et.al.? Ever studied the history of what happened to the Taos Pueblo during the Mexican American War? Meanwhile, there was also violence and carnage committed by Native Americans against whites-- including massacres of women and children. Some tribes were more vicious against European intruders than others-- e.g., the Blackfeet, Sioux, Utes, Comanches, and Apaches. Pawnees routinely killed a lot of white pioneers in the early days of the Santa Fe Trail.

People have been fighting and killing each other for as far back as we know. Unfortunately, that is the way of the world, and nothing will ever stop it.
We have seen tyrants and dictators take over many countries and enslave or totally control the people, and that is exactly what Demonrats are trying to do to the United States of America. Unless we vote them out and render the remaining ones moot, this country IS headed for another civil war. You can only push freedom-loving people so far before they begin to push back.

To be clear, are you posting the women, children and elders were waging war on white settlers? And Sand Creek was justified? 100 fine men from Colorado disagreed. Chiv was a dirtbag.

Where did I ever say the Sand Creek Massacre was "justified?" You have always had trouble understanding context and content. Of course, I believe that what the Ohio Methodist preacher Chivington did at Sand Creek was an abomination. But I'm talking about context-- i.e., the 500 year historical context of European genocide of Native Americans throughout the Western hemisphere. The Spanish Conquest. The centuries-long theft of Native American land in North America-- beginning on the East Coast in the 17th century. The Trail of Tears-- launched in the Southeast. Sand Creek was a late footnote in that genocidal 500 year history. And, secondarily, Native Americans also massacred white women and children in the history of North America.
