I'll have to drill out that CA communist bullshit from my AR's since the mod to declassify them as "assault weapons" has to be epoxied to itself so that the rifle is "permanently" modified to have a "non-removable" magazine, LOL. Ass holes. I went with the upgrade Battle Arms Development (B.A.D.) of Henderson, NV mag catch as it's an upgrade from the standard mil-spec and cheaper than other upgrade brands that I don't like anyway. Unhindered 20 and 30 round mags as it should be. Suck on it CA and oHIo leftists and neurotic phony doctors. I have an M16A1 grip on order for mine. I don't like that pointy-faced A2 grip at all. That thing gets in the way of my bird finger on the grip.

30 to 40 bucks each for the original bullet buttons on the two high end ARs I built. Then they outlawed bullet buttons and forced everyone to either "register" their "assault weapons" (all sorts of tyrannical rules associated) or make their ARs "featureless", the easiest way being to leave all the "assault weapon" "features" intact but make the "magazine non-removeable" without "taking apart the action", LOL. Thus bullet button 2 was born. 40 to 50 bucks each for three of those. Now scrapping that commie bullshit and 16 bucks each for a normal mag realease. This is how a tyrannical government operates. |

In other news, it was a 2 minute swapout to replace the original A2 grip with the A1 grip. I bought a milsurp grip for $10, and it definitely has the used look. I'll probably buy a new one from Magpul or someone, now that I know that I like how the A1 grip feels.
