I outgrew BB guns a long time ago.  Blaaaaaaaah.

My son in law bought one of these a few weeks ago.   The Animal Control center he runs has one and is used to dispatch some pretty big critters, since it is basically silent, very accurate, and very powerful.   They operate at such high pressure that you have to buy a special high pressure air compressor to fill the bottle.   He was so impressed, he bought his own.  From what I understand, the price tag surpasses many true firearms.

Easily $1000+.

I don't know exactly which brand he bought, but he loves it.  And that is coming from a very experienced rifle and bow deer hunter.

My brother has three of those high end air rifles with the big pressure tank. .22 and .30 calibers. One of them was $1,800 and is damn accurate.

I know I will never own one.

I don't have that kind of money.

I can understand why they are so accurate.   No recoil to speak of.
S-I-L says the state is thinking of making the .30cals legal for deer hunting.  They are THAT powerful.

I wonder when the mass shooters will start using them.  No noise, and plenty of power.
