A playoff spot, at least, although the NL East is still up for grabs as the Braves just won't go away. If the Mets go 6-7 or better the rest of the way, they'll secure their 4th 100-win season in franchise history. Pretty "amazin" turnaround for a team that was 9 games under .500 last year. #LGM

Their offense is good but not great, but the pitching, especially in a short series, is lights out.

The Dodgers have the best staff ERA, and as we saw a fews weeks ago, that means a bunch of low scoring games if it ends up being Mets/Dodgers. Not so fun fact: The Dodgers are just a .500 team in games decided by one run, and have a losing record in xtra-inning games.

and citi field is a gorgeous ballpark. too bad there's nothing around it in the neighborhood. I went to Shea years ago so I was excited to see Citi Field. Going for the Subway Series was a bonus. Beautiful ballpark and really cool hall of fame inside the main gate but agree, not a lot around it. Subway in, subway out.

The needed one win over the weekend in Atlanta to control their own destiny in the NL East. One win with Jacob deGrom, Max Scherzer and 15-game winner Chris Bassitt on the hill yet they come up empty, getting swept.
Slipping to the wild card drops the Mets to the 4 seed (despite having the third best record) and a probable matchup with LAD in the division series. Not ideal.

Hate to say it, but the best team in baseball right now might be the Braves...again, dammit...
