The Phillies organization was founded in 1883. In the nearly 140 years of baseball, they have never played a postseason Game 7.
They have been to the postseason 15 times, advancing to the World Series 7 times but never once played a Game 7.

to add context, the league championship series has only existed since 1969 and was a 5 game series until the mid 1980's. the phillies have played a game 5 in a 5 game series a few times. most recently, in the 2011 divisional round where roy halladay went 8 innings and chris carpenter of the st cardinals pitched a complete game shut out. st. louis won 1-0. the only run halladay allowed came on a hit on pitch #10 to a player who should have struck out twice during the at bat but the ump called 2 strikes as balls. ryan howard tore his achilles during the game and never recovered from the injury.
