I have tried to explain that to Daleko for years.
Some "conspiracy theories" are kooky-- QAnon, moon landing, etc.
Some are historically accurate theories about military and intelligence black ops-- e.g., the JFK Assassination and 9/11 Truth movements.
The 9/11 Truth movement is comprised of accredited scientists, engineers, architects, and professors who have exposed the obvious holes in the Bush/Cheney/Zelikow 9/11 narrative.
Daleko still doesn't get it, and he keeps repeating the misleading CIA propaganda meme on the subject.
CIA contract journalists have repeated the meme endlessly in the mainstream media.
The CIA first began deploying the meme to ridicule of so-called "conspiracy theories" in the 1960s to discredit the research people who had begun to analyze and debunk the CIA's Warren Commission Report-- attorney Mark Lane, archivist Sylvia Meagher, and New Orleans DA Jim Garrison.
Today, every informed person knows that the Warren Commission critics-- the "conspiracy theorists"-- were correct.
The WCR has been thoroughly debunked.

Are you dumb enough to think that intelligence agencies like the KGB, CIA, and Mossad don't "conspire" to conduct black ops? Do you think the CIA didn't "conspire" to kill Mossadeq and Allende, and remove Arbenz from office? How about the Mossad's King David Hotel bombing and Lavon affair?
