He's been ill for long time...hope he and his brother Jim reconciled before Gaylord passed. They hadn't spoken in years and it was very acrimonious. RIP Gaylord.

from '72-'74, the 3 years perry pitched for the tribe, cleveland won 230 games and never finished above 4th place in the al east. perry won nearly a 1/3 of those games, going a combined 64-48, pitching over 1000 innings, w/era's of 1.92, 3.38 and 2.51. he was also the oldest looking early/mid 30's aged guy I've ever seen. lol. he also pitched the beginning of '75, going 6-9, before being traded to texas. he was a character, and fun to watch pitch. red smith once said perry led the league in complete games, innings pitched, and relative humidity. lol. rip mr perry.
