FL may become the 26th state to approve Constitutional carry

Legislation was introduced Monday to make Florida a permit less carry state. If passed and signed by the Governor that would make Florida the 26th state to have Constitutional carry. If I am not mistaken this is something the Governor said he would sign if it made it to his desk.

Only in the sense that it’s not constitutional carry which imo is more definitive of the 2a

Gotcha.

I don't believe in open carry.   It might deter some criminals, but others will wait till you are distracted and take your gun from you.

I wonder how many people who open carry have mastered firearm retention techniques.

Before you carry it, you better learn how to hang on to it.   A rifle is even easier to take away.

Unfortunately, today's political climate has caused gullible sheeple to look at anyone with a rifle as a troublemaker.

To be honest, I have never seen a single person in my state walking around openly holding a long gun.   I haven't seen too many people carrying handguns openly, either.   There's a lot of places that don't allow guns on their property.

What did I miss? I can't remember ever seeing anyone open carrying a handgun, other than LE and the guys behind the counter at the pawn shop. Most of them were retired cops. I've never seen anyone open carry a rifle that wasn't hunting.

That's basically what I said.

Most people who aren't out to prove a point don't carry rifles openly.

There ARE people who definitely want a police encounter, hoping things will go wrong, and some cops actually take the bait.  In this case, the cops didn't take the bait, and loudmouth with the camera seemed disappointed.
