3 out tonite’s 4 games were epic. ksu-msu ot thriller, fau-tenn w/a massive upset, and just now zags-ucla, where the bruins were up 10+ most of the game, then down 10 w/4:00 left, then took the lead w 0:11 led only to see gonzaga hit a 3 from the edge of the mid court logo for what ended up being the difference.

more often than not, march madness earns its nickname.

They are so balanced, deep and they shoot the 3 well. I had them knocking off Purdue in the round of 32 before losing to Duke so tonight was extra special. Having my kid on campus enjoying every minute of the experience makes it a little more special, too.

One game at a time but seeing all the #1s go down, I can't help but think about what lies ahead for FAU if (when?) they beat K-State tonight.

The Wildcats came into the tournament boasting a defense that limits the 3 then Sparty lit them up so I like this matchup for the Owls. Both teams like to get up and down the court, too so a shootout is definitely possible. FAU cannot have a 1st half like they did on Thursday, where they committed 10 (I think) turnovers before the break. If they limit turnovers, knock down the three and stay out of foul trouble their magical season will continue with an improbable spot in the Final Four.

After Thursdays win, we offered my daughter a chance to fly to NY with a friend to go tonight's game. She declined and said she wanted to hang with her friends at a watch party.

Asked her tonight if she wants to go to the Final Four next weekend and she said no, she would rather have us come down and party with her next weekend. So we are Boca-bound next weekend to party!
