Big congratualtions to Kim Mulkey and the LSU women's basketball team!Typical of LSU .............. win you win , you win BIG. Their 102 points is a record for high score in a women's basketball championship game, and the final score was not close at all ............. 102 - 85. They made Iowa look like they didn't belong in the game.
I'm normally don't pay attention to basketball on any level, but today's game was a must watch. As usual, the TV announcers were unkind to the Tigers, but it didn't matter in the end. This was only Kim Mulkey's second year at LSU, and she took them to the top. You just can't keep a Louisiana girl down.
Seeing her starting to cry with about 1.5 minutes left in the game was a poignant moment. 3 NC's at Baylor and now 1 in her 2nd year at LSU puts her into the 4 best coaches in history for NCAA women's basketball.www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/36046402/lsu-ousts-iowa-mulkey-secures-fourth-ncaa-title

kudos to lsu for a great game and winning the title. that said, the claim that iowa 'dissed' south carolina in the semis by not guarding their outside shot (in order to pack the lane and stop their inside game) is laughable. |

I think it's silly, just the latest 'look at me' gesture at least and, as has already been proven, incindiary at worst. when clark did it for a second w/no usc-east player within 20 ft of her, and when reese did it following her around for 5-10 seconds. it took away from what was women's college hoops' best ever final 4 imho. |

Honestly, I had gotten sick of the TV announcers gushing over Iowa and Clark all game, totally disrespecting the Tigers. Maybe Reese got wind of it too, but nonetheless, I enjoyed it when she did that.
I honestly thought she was going to be called for a T, and was surprised when it didn't happen. At that point in the game, it didn't matter. Iowa's corn was popped.
The people who are complaining that it was bogus for Clark to have a T slapped on her apparently don't know the rules. Iowa had already committed one delay of game infraction, and throwing the ball away instead of delivering to a referee was delay infraction #2, which results in a technical foul being called. It just so happens that Clark did it. She was not targeted by the refs.
To be honest one more time, that is the first time in my life that I have watched a women's basketball game from start to end. Hell, I have never watched ANY basketball game from start to finish since 8th grade --- the last time I actually played on a basketball team.

The LSU women have more nattys than Ohio State does.
As of 4/3 LSU softball was #5 and the Buckeyes were #37. LSU is one of the 8 finalists for the women's gymnastics championship. Ohio State is # uhhhhhhhh ............................... nevermind. As of 4/4, the LSU women's golf team is #3 in the nation. OSU is #24.
Seems to me that LSU's girls are just all around better than Ohio State's. Granted, OSU would probably win easily in ice hockey, but all those coeds walking around with missing front teeth aren't appealing.
