White House visit

Jill Biden suggested that both LSU and Iowa woman's teams be invited to the WH for celebration. That didn't go over well with the winners at LSU as one might expect.
My first thought was in agreement with the LSU kids. After all, the WH visit is to honor the winners, not the losers. But then I thought that maybe the idea of having both teams from any Championship game/series, might not be such a bad idea after all. After all, getting to the FFour is a feat worthy of celebration for any team. Same for SuperBowl, World Series, etc. Perhaps the purpose of the WH visit should be rethought.

I think she may be more senile than her husband. Kidding aside, it's a dumb idea all the way around. No champion wants to share a stage and no runner-up wants to be reminded of their loss.

Good point. I don't think I'd want to be there if my team lost and I certainly wouldn't want to watch yet another coronation of the team that beat me.

Good point. I don't think I'd want to be there if my team lost and I certainly wouldn't want to watch yet another coronation of the team that beat me.

Awkward situation for both the winners and losers imo.

Definite no.

if there had been no post game undertow, and it was all about recognizing the game drawing such legendary interest in women's college hoops, I'd actually think it could fly. but the way the game ended and the social media talk track back and forth, it is 100% uncomfortable at best. jill's not reading the room here.

iowa’s coach posted on twitter today that they appreciate the invite and would love to meet flotus some time in iowa city but asked that the invite be only for lsu and uconn. and the white house didn’t mention iowa in their announcement today so I think they’ve finally read the room.
