It hasn’t been six months yet, so anything can happen, but AB closed today at $65.86.
That’s a market cap of 130.4 billion.
At the beginning, you folks were crowing that it had dropped over 4 billion in 10 days (from 132.38 down to 128.4), and were suggesting it was 5 as of less than a week ago.
As of this afternoon…it is under 2.
Like I said…long way to go to see the true effects for real, but the immediate suggestions of putting the beer king in its place have been rather exaggerated.

It really shouldm't have dropped at all Or, more precisely, given how bad it is, it should never have been that high to start with. The entire light beer category is a pussified disgrace, and a zone I never entered when I still drank beer. Why would I pay the same price for a product of the same volume that is half beer and half WATER? Light beer has no taste to it, or anything else that could qualify it as a genuine beer.
I don't drink ANY beer any more and I don't miss it. I don't drink hard liquor any more, and I don't miss THAT, either.
To be honest, I don't let ANY ad influence me about any product. No ad is truthful, or presents all the facts, the ads are obviously "woke" turn me AWAY from that product.
Notice all the adverse effects listed for medications that are advertised on television in the fine print. Notice that Dr. Falsi and his Dr. Mengele clone cartel NEVER warned you of the deadly adverse effects from Agent Orange 2021. The MAKERS of the poison don't warn you either, but they happily take your tax money to pay for their "free" boosters.

It really shouldm't have dropped at all Why not? Stocks rise and fall on a regular basis. My point from the start was all of this hoopla was a whole lot of nothing. Look at the big picture here, AB went all in on Dylan. Investors expect a price climb, not for the price to teeter back and forth 64 to 66. In 2003, Nike stock was at $49. They went all in on a campaign around a high school kid. That stock doubled. The stock sits at $124 today. Again we'll wait 6 months and talk about this epic fail of a campaign then.

The VP responsible for helping that stock climb for Bud Light retired a few years back after 43 years at AB. He was the guy responsible for the Clydesdales, Bud Bowl, Real men of Genius etc...He is probably sitting back in horror watching the brand he built crumble to the ground

It may turn out badly, it may turn out great. But one cannot just transport one idea between generations and be certain it will hit. If AB had chosen Sinatra, as big a star as there ever was, as the face of Budweiser and then used him to sell beer to people at Woodstock, well, you see the problem.. But Tiny Tim? Probably a better fit, even though it would have likely had the same effect of shock and horror on our parents as this current guy has on some GenZ parents.

It didn’t go “all in” with Dylan. Dylan is one of several people who have done this. They are one of many Bud Light influencers. Investors don’t expect immediate jumps due to one single thing. Most investors are not day traders who are looking for a quick dollar over the course of a week. AB’s stock was over a hundred 5 years ago. It dropped down to 65, rallied to the mid 90s, and then the pandemic wiped it out to under 40 bucks. It’s been steadily climbing since then. If you look at the rises and falls of this (or really, any) stock, ups and downs are normal. As I’ve pointed out, AB has ranged from 44 at a low to 67 as a high just over the last year. By the way, you’re changing the narrative. I started out this discussion taking issue with the claim that all this outrage and all these boycotts and how the market cap was severely affected by this…that it wasn’t going to tank the stock. You, then, disagreed. Now, it has changed. Now it appears, you’re suggesting that if, in six months, AB’s stock hasn’t doubled, it is clear that using DM as an influencer was a bad idea.
