This is true, and when you think about it, how many guns does one actually need? It's not like either one of us has 40 years of shooting ahead of us. Well, maybe I do but at 105 a bb gun's recoil would probably hurt. I only NEED one (OK 2, in case #1 goes down for some reason), but that's not the point.
It's fun to own a lot of guns, especially if they are different. It would be boring for me to own, say 10 1911's or Glocks. I like diversity, and a black powder revolver sure is different from a modern plastic fantastic.
Other people like to stick to one type, and that's OK too.
As for myself, every gun that I buy/own now will become part of my kids' inheritance one day, so it's not like I'm really wasting any money. Some of my guns are pretty valuable, some of them not, but they are all worth something. One of my daughters has already claimed by S&W 645, and my oldest granddaughter has dibs on a COT in my man cave. LOL Right now the cot is the property of my dog, though. He loves it, too.
I need to get my daughter more interested in guns. Although she outshot me the first time I ever took her shooting on the 22LR and 22WMR rifles. Young whippersnapper!!

Oh hell yeah, get the whole family involved. There were times when my wife could outshoot me with a handgun. My granddaughter absolutely loves her AR, and I forget what 9mm she carries. My middle daughter and her husband are avid deer hunters and casual shooters, too. Before they moved away from here, both of them were reserve sheriff's deputies, and my son-in-law is now a reserve officer in Ruston. He has a good job as Director of Animal Control there, so he will stay with the reserves. He says their training is incredible and they are ALWAYS training, and doing range quals at least once a month. When I was working, we qualified once a YEAR, so I did all of my shooting basically on my own.
To hell with lieberals. I will own any gun I want to, and I will shoot as much as I want to, or can afford to.

Maybe we should each get a cannon. A real one. I already have a Dan Wesson 44V hand cannon.

I decided against the Ruger and might 'pull the trigger' on a PSA Gen3 PA10 16" Mid-Length .308 WIN 1/10 Nitride 15" Lightweight M-Lok MOE EPT Rifle for $829.99...

If you're happy, I'm happy, but it's too damn ugly for me. Nice price, though, since you are going to have to spend god knows how much just to be able to aim it.
I like my rifles that come from the factory with more or less permanent sights already on them.
