FTR, I am out of the business of answering questions about what we should do, because gun owners are not rational players. They'd rather see dead school children than have to fill out a form. That's a useless discussion. But I will comment on the malaise. The argument that only a few people mis-use guns and therefore no regulation is required is nonsense. We already have regulation. The idea that more regulation will necessarily lead to zero issues is nonsense. But hey…of Mike’s examples I had only heard of the first two. One was in Missouri and the other New York. Be curious as to what regulation you would add/change, etc. in each state. Name a single area of regulation that results in 'zero issues'. Is that your standard? If gun violence doesn't go to zero because of a suggested regulation, let us not pass ANY regulations? If it doesn't stop all mass shootings it isn't worth it?

Car insurance is mandatory. Why isn't that a violation of my rights? Guns are far more dangerous than a car......Cwg Probably more people driving cars than owning guns Probably more gun owners driving their cars than shooting their guns (at others) There was this guy That's one

You want evidence of pro-gun indifference to the nearly daily mass shootings? Pick just about any thread on the GunPolitics board. Lots of it to see. And it is a big world out there. Lot's of other indifference to see out there as well..er...I mean 'thoughts and prayers' to see.

And, as if he is monitoring this thread, Mike Pence chimes in to prove my point. During an interview on CBS, correspondent Robert Costa confronted Pence about a "spate of gun violence in recent weeks." "And it's at times legal gun owners shooting people who come up to their door, on a driveway, in a parking lot," Costa said, referring to the shootings of Ralph Yarl and Kaylin Gillis. "Well, our hearts go out to the families of lost loved ones and the incidents in Kansas City and in upstate New York," Pence replied. "I just can't imagine the pain that they're enduring in that tragedy." "But tragedy should not require us to forfeit our liberty," he continued. "And the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is enshrined in the Constitution of the United States."www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/mike-pence-defends-ralph-yarl-and-kaylin-gillis-shootings-as-response-to-crime-wave/ar-AA1adR1a?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=0abbaf71007a48d38eef39eb6987cd77&ei=20Don't get much more indifferent than that...
