Both the Bruins and the Avalanche go down in game 7s.
That was some great hockey.

Both the Bruins and the Avalanche go down in game 7s. That was some great hockey. This makes ten straight years the winner of the President's Trophy has been knocked out. Only once has the winner gotten passed the 2nd round. The Kraken upset is more shocking, IMO. Although the Avs are banged up, I didn't think Seattle's goaltending would hold up yet here they are, on to the second round. Also disappointed my Lightning couldn't advance. Despite being the underdogs, they were the better team in 5 of the 6 games. Two 3rd period comebacks and 3 OT wins for Toronto was the difference, though and the Leafs get their first series win in 19 years.

Watching the first period of the Avs/Kraken, I thought it was going to be a blowout for the Avs. They were everywhere, on every loose puck and outshot the Ks, what 12-4 or something like that? And then lost? Geez. The Ks got some luck in the net, but overall, great play that IMO saved them.

That's what makes the SC playoffs so great.
