I am suggesting that roughly one in five guns used in crimes have no official paper trail of a transfer of ownership. they could be stolen, straw purchased or private transaction, but one in five leave no trail. My guess is the majority are stolen. And the vast majority of those are handguns. What do you suggest be done in those cases?

My bad. Actually, the 40 MM is the estimated number of guns that are sold and/or somehow change hands in a year. No worries.

If I suggest blue ink instead of black on a form, I am accused of wanting to confiscate all guns or at least advocating the slippery slope toward it. So, "Nah-ganna-do it. Wouldn't be prudent." We ID'd a problem. Let the pro-gun folks come up with some ideas for a change.

Most of the shootings happen in Demonrat controlled cities/states where "gun control" is very strict. So why don't criminals obey those laws? Isn't it illegal to intentionally harm someone without his permission?
When did Texas become blue? You can't read, can you?
AND, FYI, there are quite a few Demonrat-controlled cities in Texas, dumbass. Do some research.

The problem is criminals who don't think it is wrong to harm someone else.
Now what law do you propose to fix that without infringing on the rights of most Americans?
The first idea is to stop doing like criminal-coddling Commiefornia and New York and turning repeat offenders back out on the streets.
Let's start with locking them up and KEEPING them locked up.
Step 2: If they have been sentenced to death, and had any appeals denied, put them to death.
Step 3: If a criminal is convicted of using a firearm to commit a crime, INCREASE the penalties over what already exists Impose those penalties.
