Can you explain how a G-rated show with actors in drag would stop a kid from being a kid? Little kids play 'dress up' to pretend they are adult all the time, and gender is not generally something they care much about.
I agree with that sentiment in regard to little kids, but remind you that 'kids' goes all the way up to the day before their 18th birthday, so you've made a broad statement as it regards the regulatory apparatus. A similar reasoning was used to ban teaching sex education and CRT to youngsters in FL, and lo and behold, has in some cases now been expanded up into the teen years. |

Little kids have basically no concept of gender. Or sexuality. Let kids be kids, or as Billy Dean says "let them be little because they're only that way for a while." Plenty of time for them to see the real world, they don't have to be rushed into it.

That would depend on the kid, wouldn't it? Given the variety of issues kids deal with including gender identity, a parent might deem something suitable for their kid who might have different issues than your kid. Who are you to dictate to them what is best for their child? Don't want your kid to see it? Fine. Don't go. End of problem. So in your world any underage child could walk into a bar and buy a shot of bourbon, buy a pack of cigarettes and light up while they sit and watch a stripper perform. Got it. Eliminate all the laws designed to protect those too young to protect themselves. |

No. I took my kids to Ringling Brothers/ B & B circus many times. I never saw a clown costume made to be sexually provocative. I never saw a clown wear a strap on vagina or dildo. I never saw a clown simulate sex. What matters is what we expose children to, costume or act. What I wonder is why do these people want kids in their shows? Why do you want them to have kids in their shows? I would agree that what you describe is not suitable for kids.
