They are definitely in the hunt for a national title. They toyed with #15 Baylor last night and while the Bears aren't what they were a couple of years ago, they are no slouch and the Badgers hammered them.

BTW, I went to the matches last night in Tampa. Seeing former Buckeye All-American Mac Podraza in a Penn State uniform was very strange. And Florida has a 6'6" 6-rotation freshman who was lights out. The Gators are going to be heard from before it's all said and done.

B1G is strong every year. Easily the best conference in the country.

That Arkansas team has a girl I know very well. Zoi Evans was dating a girl I coached and was always around the gym. Great kid and wildly talented.

On a night where 17,093 loud Cheeseheads showed up to break an NCAA record for the largest indoor crowd for volleyball, at the Milw Bucks arena, the No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers (8-0) survived a tough run from in-state rival Marquette Golden Eagles, pulling out a 3-1 (28-26, 20-25, 26-24, 25-18) win.

Next up a match against the No. 3 ranked Florida Lizards (8-0) in Gainesville, Florida. That match will take place Saturday at 2:00 p.m. central on ESPN.

Another Wisky match and another record crowd, this time in Gainesville.

Looks like it was a great match. I had a couple of my club girls in attendance and I am officially holding that against them. LOL

WVB is growing in interest. Across the NCAA. WH used to be the big thing for women, after BB & SB. But it's so damn expensive for young people to get involved re equipment and it's a time suck and expensive to get ice time for youngsters. Every location has, today, a BB court they can convert. WVB will continue to grow. Where are all of these teams finding those lady "giants". I had no idea there are so many gals that tall alive. Sheffield is considering gals world-wide. 

Coming back from an 0-2 def V Fl was big time and proved that they are capable of winning it all. I was passively watching it and doing other stuff and then the other stuff got pushed aside. And yes a new record for FL attendance. Wisky is the new MJ. Wherever they go, people want to see them and see their team take down the current dominate force.

I wish I knew. I could use a couple of my high school team.

Side note, I had mentioned my daughter was very close to playing in college until her ACL injury. She has fully recovered and recently made the FAU women's club team. They travel to Miami this weekend for a tournament and it will be the first time she has been on a court in a meaningful match in 19 months. I am beyond excited to see her play again.

Wisky GVB sweeps Indy and still undefeated. UW will next face a road trip to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes (1-1, 4-7) on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. That match will air on the Big Ten Network.

The No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers (3-0 Big Ten, 12-0 overall) continue their winning ways Wednesday night, sweeping aside the No. 22 Ohio State Buckeyes (1-2, 4-8) in a 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18) road conference victory.

Wisconsin’s next match comes back at home on Sunday, Oct. 1 against the Michigan Wolverines (0-2, 2-9).

It should be. Certainly a good primer for both to experience NCAA Tourney type pressure v a talented team. At Lincoln being a plus for Wisky, w experience of an away game V a very talented Nebraska squad. Da Badgers are playing at a high level. We'll see if it continues. I can see a close 5 set match. With Wisky coming out ahead. Wisky needs to start fast. Neb is too talented to pull another Florida miracle.

The Huskers are the real deal but Wosky hasn't been tested in some time... 30 straight sets won. A five set match would be epic.

Nebraska comes out strong and takes the first set then the Badgers put on a blocking clinic in the second set, scoring 12 of their 25 points on blocks. That is unheard of. And impressive.
