If you haven't seen it yet, do your self a favor and google ChatGPT.
It's awesome.
It's artificial intelligence that allows you to converse with a machine about all sorts of things.
For instance, I asked it how far a 16 inch AC duct could cantilever from a support. It asked me questions about the duct and its properties, and its support, and how much deflection I would allow, and eventually after about 5 minutes of it spitting answers and me responding with new questions to refine the answer, I had what I was trying to see if it could do. I haven't checked it to see if it is correct, but it certainly asked the right questions and the answer is in the ballpark, (though a bit shy) of the distance I'd have guessed. I was impressed.
How bout this:
I asked it to write a poem in iambic pentameter about college football. In less than 10 seconds, I got this.
In college stadiums, roaring crowds unite,
To witness battles 'neath the stadium's light,
Where warriors of youth, with hearts aflame,
Pursue their dreams in the grand football game.
Upon the field, where heroes rise and fall,
They chase a pigskin, heed the referee's call,
With grace and might, they dance 'cross hallowed ground,
In pursuit of glory, with each resounding sound.
The marching bands, in harmony, they play,
Their melodies inspire, throughout the day,
As colors clash and rivalries ignite,
In college football's thrilling, timeless fight.
From goal to goal, they charge with all their might,
In pursuit of touchdowns, to reach that height,
The quarterback scans, the linemen fiercely strive,
In this great theater where dreams come alive.
With every tackle, pass, and touchdown's roar,
The fans erupt, their spirits do implore,
For college football, more than just a game,
It's a tradition, a passion, a lasting flame.
In hallowed stadiums, where legends are born,
The spirit of the game is proudly worn,
In iambic verse, we sing this song,
Of college football's glory, pure and strong.
