Me schooling you on what the government has the authority to do is “anti-constitutional”? Lol I specifically said it would be dumb to exert its authority to the extent it can, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. When did the gov't get the authority to violate the constitution? You haven't "schooled" me on anything.
Such a law would never pass SCOTUS muster. You know it and I know it.Violate what part of the Constitution? Background checks aren’t outlawed, nor are 3D printers protected by any amendment.

I'd say the First Amendment covers it."The most basic component of freedom of expression is the right to freedom of speech. Freedom of speech may be exercised in a direct (words) or a symbolic (actions) way. Freedom of speech is recognized as a human right under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The right to freedom of speech allows individuals to express themselves without government interference or regulation. The Supreme Court requires the government to provide substantial justification for interference with the right of free speech when it attempts to regulate the content of the speech. Generally, a person cannot be held liable, either criminally or civilly for anything written or spoken about a person or topic, so long as it is truthful or based on an honest opinion and such statements." "The right to free speech includes other mediums of expression that communicate a message." I doubt you are smarter than the people at Cornell Law School. Nice try, though.

What does the FA have to do with background checks or 3D printers? It doesn’t. Here’s an article that will help you understand what I’ve been saying… www2.itif.org/2013-regulate-illicit-3d-printing.pdfPage 5. The paragraph beginning with the word “Third”. Then read the paragraph beginning with the word “Alternatively”. You’re welcome.

Let me explain to you again, so your tiny mind will understand: You can NOT make a complete gun out of plastic. It would blow up! A gun's slide, cylinder, working parts, chamber(s) and barrel MUST be made from steel. Even today's "plastic" guns (Glock, etc.) have steel inserts in the plastic frames in order to handle the stress when a gun fires.
You should learn how guns and metal detectors work before you spout off about something you know nothing about. I sincerely invite you to take a piece of PVC pipe with an internal diameter of .47", make a zip gun out of it, and fire a .45ACP bullet in it. You will discover quickly that is it impossible to make a plastic gun that will fire more than one shot.

You damn sure don’t understand the law here, that much is true. This discussion isn’t about guns. It’s about 3D printers.

Who cares about what materials guns are made of? That doesn’t have anything to do with what I said. I said that the government has the authority to regulate 3D Printers if it so chooses. It isn’t unconstitutional for the government to regulate them if it wants to. Again….zero to do with guns. 3D printers.

Where in the Constitution do you have the right to buy and own a 3D printer without a background check? Will a local company in my city need a background check to keep its 3D printer that builds affordable 1200 sq ft homes?

What about it? Sadly enough, I’d say that the government probably has the authority to do that. There’s nothing preventing it, and the commerce clause probably would authorize it. Here’s hoping the government wouldn’t be quite so stupid. If they think like you do, it is.That’s for sure.

Where in the Constitution do you have the right to buy and own a 3D printer without a background check? The 9th and 10th amendments. He is just starved for attention. Ignore him. The Supreme Court would never allow such a blatant violation of people's rights to exist.
I have already shown that a 3D printer by its very existence is simply an extension of one's First Amendment rights, just like a car is an extension of your home when you are in it.
What idiot would approve of background checks to buy/own a 3D printer, anyway?

LOL...you fall on your face when I point out an article which explains exactly why background checks are perfectly legal in this country, and you bail. Now, when he steps up and fails in the same way...you try to get him on board with your cowardice. You haven't "shown" that a 3D printer is an extension of one's FA rights. That's ridiculous, and not supported by anything beyond "because you said so". Even if it were, somehow, an extension of your FA rights, that doesn't mean that the government is prohibited from requiring a background check to obtain one, duncecap. And like I said before you bitched out, I never said the government would or should require background checks....just that they had the power to do it. They do.

A cursory glance at whatever nutcase law was passed would be all it takes for the Supreme Court to kill that law. You obviously don't know how our COMPLETE govt' functions.
Stick to writing evictions and repossessions.

Stick to writing evictions and repossessions. You got any written authority for your constant “because I said so” platitudes? Or are you going to slink away from the conversation for another two weeks only to briefly reappear to run your mouth while still just as ignorant as always?
