Really dont like repeating myself .....NLCS Game 7?.... Who you got? I got Phillies going to the fall classic hard to disagree, tho' d-backs showed some grit winning game 6 in a tough post season venue.

I got Phillies going to the fall classic hard to disagree, tho' d-backs showed some grit winning game 6 in a tough post season venue. congrats to 'zona. solid pitching effort continually silenced both philly's bats and the bank crowd. d-backs finished the season just 6 games above .500, 16 games behind the dodgers, and lost 6 of their last 9 regular season games. none of that matters if you can get in the expanded playoffs though. arizona vs texas.

IMO, it devalues the regular season, and baseball more than any other sport is a all about the marathon that is the regular season. The playoffs and World Series should be about a reward for winning that marathon, not getting hot in a short series. Interesting article this morning. It made the point that the teams with the some of the best plate discipline (lowest chase rate per AB) in the regular season were the teams that did NOT win the playoffs and it's the second year that has happened. The teams with higher chase rates generally advanced. I have no idea why that should be. It's a very odd state, IMO.

Aggression matters hoping karma & % is on your side and makes a difference?
