A 77 year old American walked up to two eco-protesters blocking the Pan American Highway today and shot them dead.
He's a lawyer from Florida State-- employed by a university in Panama City-- named Kenneth Darlington.
The murdered guys were protesting against a permit for a copper mine.
Weird.

Who cares? If the American is found guilty, he should be punished to the fullest extent of Panamanian law.
It's just weird. The entire world knows that gun-toting Americans are homicidal maniacs. The only people on the planet who aren't aware of the problem are the brainwashed Republican stooges in the U.S. who watch Fox News. |

Given the millions of Americans who own guns, telling me that 'most' of them are not criminals isn't terribly reassuring. I will consider it as soon as you agree that all guns should be registered in a national database with strict reporting requirements for any sold, lost or stolen firearms to provide a paper trail leading to every gun in America, so that we'd know which guns were illegally possessed and by whom. Lemme know when you've agreed to that. |

Given the millions of gang members and other street criminals that illegally possess guns, I'm surprised you haven't volunteered to the police department to go into gang neighborhoods and insist these criminals register their weapons and turn them over to you if they are not allowed to legally own them. An illegally possessed firearm is NOT going to be registered, dummy.
It's the same reason that "No Gun Zones" are laughable.
Criminals are not going to obey laws, and every non-criminal American has the right to privacy.
The RIGHT to own a firearm is non-negotiable.
Only people like Hitler, Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un, Ali Khamenei, need(ed) to know which citizens own firearms.
Asian martial arts came into being because their rulers would not let them own swords and other traditional weapons.
