Impressive beat down of the Denver Broncos by the Detroit Lions last night. Denver had won 6-of-7, with wins against KC, Buffalo, and Cleveland, but Jared Goff and the Lions kicked the crap out of the Broncos. Detroit is playing good football, as are the 49ers.
If they play like they did last night, I wouldn't be surprised to see Detroit playing the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
On the flip side, the AFC looks to be completely up for grabs this year. I can't think of an AFC team that has been consistently better than the rest of the conference.

Browns v. Lions in Vegas! Book it but don't bet the farm Cowboys looked good against the Lions last night. I didn't watch the game but, apparently, the refs gave Dallas that win by screwing up the call on Detroit's successful two-point, tackle-eligible conversion. Video review, allegedly, showed that the tackle had reported as eligible before that play.

BAd call. Decker had reported, not Skipper. That he was in the area matters not. Part of the illusion. Adding to the trick play, Skipper had reported as an eligible receiver throughout the night, with Campbell saying he gave the officiating crew a heads-up prior to the game that they could try something like they did on a two-point conversion. Talking head coaches have suggest that they actually draw up plays on white boards for the zebras in meeting w them before the game.
Why would Skipper report, then line up as a guard? Allen fucked up. He assumed something. Not the crews first. They blew the GB KC game and other gaffs. And they have been downgraded. Says it all.

Possible the WR may have moved before the snap as I saw one where he was covered up. Either way, I don't think the refs did a good enough job of explaining what actually happened.

Meanwhile, how about Baker Mayfield? How on earth did Cleveland let Mayfield walk? Mayfield got picked by the LB Banes there in the final 2:00, but he and Mike Evans played a great game.
