Caitlin Clark made history last night at Carver Hawkeye in Iowa City. And she ain't done yet. The post-game celebration lasted another 45 minutes after the game and everyone was chanting "1 more year." It was amazing.

With the average WNBA salary being @ $100K__She should stay and probably collect more in NIL$$$$

Each one of the Michigan women's basketball team players wrote Caitlin Clark a letter Thursday night for Clark's record-breaking performance and they gifted her a gold bracelet with the date on it. Class Act!!!!

I watched their prior game on TV at Nebraska. Congrats to the young lady. She earned and deserves the record

She’d likely be one of the highest paid players in the league. On the other hand she could set a very high bar for the next generational talent to try to break if she added another year in college.

She’d likely be one of the highest paid players in the league. On the other hand she could set a very high bar for the next generational talent to try to break if she added another year in college. I don't watch the WNBA or the NBA for that matter, IMO it is not the game it used to be. As I understand it, the base pay for a rookie in the WNBA is somewhere around $185K, I have no idea how they determine the salaries of the women that play. I don't know how long Clark's NIL contracts with State Farm, Nike, Gatorade, etc. last but I am sure all of these companies would extend their agreements with her should she stay in college. She has been described as a "generational talent" and this applies to her on and off the court. She loves to play the game and to her I don't think it is just about the money. My brother bought season tickets last year and therefore I have been his guest at a couple of games this year and have had the pleasure of witnessing an amazing story. The atmosphere at Carver-Hawkeye is something that needs to be experienced in person to fully appreciate the impact Clark has made on women's basketball. I admit I am rather old-school when it comes to years of eligibility in college with athletes sometimes sticking around for maybe 6 years or so due to whatever reason they come up with and I truthfully think the Covid year thing is a farce, but it is what it is and as an Iowa Hawkeye fan and wishful thinking on my part I hope and believe Clark sticks around for another year. Iowa will lose Martin, Davis, and Marshall to graduation. Martin will be a huge loss and Marshall is a great defender, but there are ladies in waiting who I think will fill their shoes. Clark understandably relishes the wins, the fans, the accolades and desire to win a NC. She stays one more year.

Caitlin Clark will likely break Pete Maravichs' all time scoring on their last home game of the season vs OSU on March 3rd.
