Big national headline story this afternoon-- even at WaPo.
I wonder if any Big 10 forum members here have attended any Clark games.
The lady has become quite a legend.

I have been to three games, the atmosphere is unbelievable. I have a brother who has season tickets, he keeps texting me during the games, says it is almost impossible to hear any conversation because of the noise. Today's game was great, proved that Iowa is the better team. Clarks scoring is without a doubt impressive and her deep threes off of a screen are almost unbelievable, but her passing to her teammates for assists is what I find the most impressive. And she has done all this, remains humble and gives credit to her teammates. I was hoping she would stick around for one more year.

It must be a bit like Indiana State fans watching Larry Bird play back in the day.

I remember Bird playing way back when, but the TV and media coverage was not what it is today. One of the truly amazing things I see is the fans who come from far and wide to witness her play. I read where a father and his daughter came in from Winnebag, Canada to watch this game. Even for away games, fans have traveled many miles to watch #22. My brother has season tickets and I joined him for 3 games this year. There are a multitude of little girls and boys wearing a #22 jersey in the 14998 fans present in CHA for these games. I doubt if Bird had that type of following, but it was a different time. Clark is a true pleasure to watch, there are some naysayers out there, but we all know they are just jealous of her talent and accomplishments.

How many 6'4" forwards and 6'10" centers did she face to do this? Nice record for a girl, but....

How many 6'4" forwards and 6'10" centers did she face to do this? Nice record for a girl, but.... Clark is 6' tall, she has played against many girls taller than her, several in the 6'3"-6'4" range and smoked them. Her step-back shot is almost impossible to defend and if you haven't watched her play, I highly recommend you do. When you are well over 6' feet tall, have an ancestry probably containing kangaroo genetics and can dunk a basketball it is no big deal. When you are 6' tall, and have the ability consistently drain 3's from 25' and beyond, that is talent. It takes a tremendous amount of leg strength to accomplish this. When you are shooting from under the basket and can jump up and dunk it, it is not really a display of skill, just jumping ability. She is right-handed but for some unknown reason other than hours and hours of practice, when Clark moves to her left outside the circle and shoots, more often than she will drain the 3. Awesome to watch.
