Clung to disbelief after repeatedly seeing the evidence and refusal to in the face of what is known to accept God and believe that Jesus is the savior who grants us eternal life if only by faith we believe is indeed the mother of all sins. Some of the words you’ve written here can cause some to wonder if you’ve said no to God one too many times and if the Holy Spirit has not yet been grieved away. Hopefully one day you will see the light.

We're all sinners...we are born sinners, because of Original Sin.  The wages of sin is death.  God knew we couldn't accomplish sin-free living, so he sent his only begotten son to pay our debt.  It's easy, for anyone who has half a functioning brain.  God knows you're a dick, but wants to save you anyways.  So he made it so easy, even a WALLy dummy can do it.

I was raised Christian, have read good chunks of The Book; I sang in a church choir for two years. I even took religion classes in college, and studied and wrote a thesis on medieval Christian scholasticism.

But I should mention that I had an interesting mystical (and intellectual) journey in the early 90s-- from my serious 20 year sojourn as an agnostic to Eastern Orthodox Christianity.

I would have to write a lengthy book to properly explain it.

I was always intellectually curious, and my childhood and teen pastors (Protestant) could never answer my questions.
