This is an amazing story of survival and the will to live. You need to watch the whole thing to get a real feeling of how it is to be ambushed and shot.
Listen to all the little voices going through his head while all this was going on.
It illustrates the importance of shot placement from both combatants.
After he had been shot 15 times, the good guy managed to draw his own weapon with his weak hand, and fire it ONE TIME while holding it upside down, using his pinky to pull the trigger. Apparently his one shot hit the right place which stopped his attacker, who police believe went on to take his own life.
Our hero said the bad guy had a decent stance, holding the gun properly, and firing from 12 feet on up to as close as 7 feet. Thankfully he was a terrible marksman.
The Marine had a long slow recovery ahead of him, but he is progressing well.
You can ignore my own comments if you wish, but remember ....... YOU have the choice.

One of the cool things I get from watching Youtube a lot.
Great videos of police chases, plane crash investigations, gun videos, how to repair just about anything, expose's of Demonrat stupidity, and anything else you can imagine.
For hours of GREAT videos, I recommend Hickok45: This guy is one of the best non-professional shooters (with ANY gun) that I have ever seen. And he is only an old Tennessee school teacher.
Here's a quick fun one:

Those paper targets we trained on did not move after the first 2 shots, so hitting the head was easy.The reality is, after two center mass shots, that head is now moving, and very hard to hit. Once he is down and not moving, it's hard to justify a head shot.
I'm not a sniper, and I will stick to where my greatest probability of a solid hit is. |

Every bullet you fire has a potential lawsuit attached to it, even in a self-defense situation.
Shoot the wrong person and lose your house. Possibly go to jail too, for negligent injuring or negligent homicide.
Unless you are a highly trained SEAL sniper firing at a Somali pirate in a bouncing life boat, your chance of missing a moving head is about 100%. |

I am thankful that I did not have to shoot anyone for ANY reason.
That may change before I die, but my training won't, and if I fire, I pray that I will be 100% right, with no peripheral damage. If I kill someone, it will mean that that person was totally suicidal. I will not regret it, though. If someone forces a him or me scenario, it will be HIM.
