Lol… as if I give a shit about your opinion of FSU. I’m sure you enjoyed the ass whipping the Tigers got last year from us. What does that make the all time record between the two teams now? I can’t keep track… Last year LSU WON the CWS. Did you sleep through that? No, I was busy watching the 4 touchdown ass kicking your team received by FSU in the fall. Did you check out the photo? I’m guessing not. ftw.usatoday.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/90/2024/06/g6mwhZ.jpg?w=1000&h=600&crop=1

This is the baseball board. Your answer is irrelevant, counselor.
Stick to the topic, hummingbird brain. But if you really want to go there, LSU has FOUR national football championships, while FSU has only 3.
A still photograph does not matter. THREE UMPIRES ON THE FIELD agreed that it was a check swing, and they all had only one chance to watch it in real time. None of them claimed the batter broke his wrist. I am going to assume that the ump at 2nd base would not have a definitive view because of his location on the field. Your team got beat. Get over it. They get another chance to stay alive today. Stop whining and tell your team to take control of the game, if they can.

Yeah, if my team were on the wrong end of a 4 touchdown beating, I’d be trying to avoid talking about it too.
Stick to the topic, hummingbird brain. But if you really want to go there, LSU has FOUR national football championships, while FSU has only 3.
And the head to head record between the two schools is…what?
A still photograph does not matter. THREE UMPIRES ON THE FIELD agreed that it was a check swing, and they all had only one chance to watch it in real time.
No shit, Sherlock. The whole discussion was the fact that it was a bad call. Not that the umpires didn’t call it the way they called it.
None of them claimed the batter broke his wrist. I am going to assume that the ump at 2nd base would not have a definitive view because of his location on the field.
The wrists don’t have to break for it to be a swing. The definition of a swing is defined in Section 39 of the NCAA rule book…
“SECTION 39. An attempt by the batter to stop the forward motion of the bat while swinging, which puts the batter in jeopardy of a strike being called. The half swing shall be called a strike if the barrel head of the bat passes the batter’s front hip. This does not apply to a bunt attempt when the batter pulls the bat back.”
Where is the bat in that picture? Is it in front of his hip, or behind it?
Your team got beat. Get over it.
Yep…on a bad call, like I said.
They get another chance to stay alive today. Stop whining and tell your team to take control of the game, if they can. They had control. The lead. And what should have been the third strike resulting in the third out in the bottom of the 9th. A bad call changed all of that.

And no, if FSU were in control, they would have been up by 3 or 4, and one "bad call" would have made no difference. Today they are doing pretty well so far, but those dingy white uniforms are horrible. Invest in some bleach. Looks like somebody pissed on all the players.
I still don't know what you are whining about. FSU is one of the 8 allegedly best teams in the country this year.
BUT, FSU has never won the CWS, setting the record for the team with most appearances with zero championships. LSU has won the NC 7 times.
You can't win them all, but I'll take LSU over FSU any day. Year in and year out, LSU holds the record for home game attendance. LSU's fans go to Omaha even when the TEAM doesn't. LSU has the prestige that FSU does not.
IF FSU wins it all this year, I will be happy to congratulate them and you.

Wasn’t crying. I said it was a bad call because it was. That was the end of it until you came in here trying to suggest it wasn’t a bad call.
And no, if FSU were in control, they would have been up by 3 or 4, and one "bad call" would have made no difference.
More in control than Tennessee was at the time, weren’t they? I mean, we had a 2 run lead and needed 1 strike. Which we got, but wasn’t called.
Today they are doing pretty well so far, but those dingy white uniforms are horrible. Invest in some bleach. Looks like somebody pissed on all the players.
Maybe we can ask the LSU ball club to wash them, since they’re sitting at home with their season over.
I still don't know what you are whining about. FSU is one of the 8 allegedly best teams in the country this year.
About the fact that it was a bad call that, if called right, ended the game with an FSU victory. I provided you with the rule, and a photograph showing that, pursuant to the rule, it should have been called a strike. It isn’t lost on me that you’ve abandoned that line of argument after running your mouth for a while. And you addressed none of it. Even after asking for video evidence, which you got a still photograph of where the bat ended up, along with the rule that sets forth when the strike should be called on a check swing.
BUT, FSU has never won the CWS, setting the record for the team with most appearances with zero championships. LSU has won the NC 7 times.
Yep. Last hill for FSU to climb. Would be a lot easier if we hadn’t been screwed by a bad call.
You can't win them all, but I'll take LSU over FSU any day.
Which has nothing to do with whether it was the right call. Which, it wasn’t.

Annnd…it was still a bad call. Your opinion that it was a bad call carries no weight. That photograph carries no weight. The umpires made (or didn't make) the call from their positions on the field, in real time. Was that camera in the exact same position as one of the umpires? Something tells me "no," so it is immaterial.
Sports and sports officials are not perfect. But we could do it your way and have instant replay on EVERY play. No controversies and no fans either. They'd just wait 2 days for the games to be completed, and then look up who won.
FSU won today, and they did it by controlling the game. Congratulations.
As for my bringing up things that had nothing to do with "the call," YOU opened that barn door by bringing up a football game, which then allowed me to kick your ass as far as LSU vs FSU football. The football teams don't play each other enough to really matter (11 times, all time), and most of FSU's wins came under Bobby Bowden. Don't compare the two football teams when it comes to overall accomplishments. You won't like the results. www.winsipedia.com/florida-state/vs/lsu If you want to argue, choose your strategy more carefully.

Annnd…it was still a bad call. Your opinion that it was a bad call carries no weight. That photograph carries no weight. I never suggested it carried weight. But in addition to my opinion, I also provided a photograph along with the rule that shows that, pursuant to the rule, that should have been a strike.
I understand that photos and rules mean nothing to you, given your political opinions over the last decade. The umpires made (or didn't make) the call from their positions on the field, in real time.
Yes. And it was the wrong call. Plain and simple. Doesn’t change the call. Doesn’t change the outcome. But it was a bad call.
Was that camera in the exact same position as one of the umpires? Something tells me "no," so it is immaterial.
No, it’s not. The rule is the rule. If the bat passes the front hip, it’s a strike, by rule. The photo shows the bat past the front hip. It should have been a strike. It wasn’t called. It was a bad call.
Sports and sports officials are not perfect.
I didn’t suggest it was perfect. I’m not suggesting they go back and change anything. What you claimed is that it wasn’t a bad call, despite not seeing shit or understanding the rules. You’ve now seen evidence of how far the swing went, and been given the rule that defines what a check swing is.
I get that you can’t bring yourself to admit that you might be wrong, so now you’re flailing around.
But we could do it your way and have instant replay on EVERY play. No controversies and no fans either. They'd just wait 2 days for the games to be completed, and then look up who won.
Or, you could just admit it was a bad call and say you hope FSU is able to work its way through the loser’s bracket to get to the promised land.
FSU won today, and they did it by controlling the game. Congratulations.
And it doesn’t change the fact that it was a bad call.
As for my bringing up things that had nothing to do with "the call," YOU opened that barn door by bringing up a football game, which then allowed me to kick your ass as far as LSU vs FSU football.
Uh no…you did that by bringing up how juvenile you thought FSU’s cheers are, which have exactly nothing to do with the call.
As for FSU v. LSU…what’s the head to head record again? You didn’t answer that the first time around.
The football teams don't play each other enough to really matter (11 times, all time), and most of FSU's wins came under Bobby Bowden. Don't compare the two football teams when it comes to overall accomplishments. You won't like the results.
Fine…what were the results of the last two head to head matchups between the schools when Bobby wasn’t the coach?
www.winsipedia.com/florida-state/vs/lsu If you want to argue, choose your strategy more carefully. Why? FSU stacks up very well if not better. Other than NCs, where does LSU stack up better than FSU, if we take away all of LSU’s accomplishments before 1947, since FSU wasn’t playing football before then. All time win percentage? FSU is better. Natties? LSU has one more than FSU. Congrats on your first in 1958. Conference Championships? Tied, but 6 of yours are before 1947. Bowl games? LSU has six more. How many does LSU have before 1947? 6. That means we’re tied if you’re comparing exact time periods. All time wins? Well, if we’re comparing apples to apples, you need to deduct the 283 wins that LSU obtained before 1947. In that case, LSU has 560 wins since 1947. FSU has 581. Bowl win percentage? FSU. Consensus all Americans? FSU. Now, you get us on draft picks and first round picks, so good on you there. Last one is weeks in the AP poll. You have us by 82 weeks there, but given the reality that LSU finished ranked 30 weeks prior to 1947 makes it closer. Some other notable points? All time AP weeks in the top 5? FSU by 121 weeks. All time AP weeks in the top 10? FSU by 57 weeks. Not to mention we own your asses head to head, 9-2, and you haven’t beaten us since 1982. Oh yeah…I’m happy to stack up FSU against LSU historically any time, buddy. FSU is a historically better program.

That still means that FSU was not good enough to dominate or even CONTROL Tennessee.
LSU vs FSU football? LSU has the tradition and prestige that FSU will never have. No one has ever called the Tigers "the Criminoles."
Go ahead and take your famous last word. FSU will probably lose to #1 Tennessee AGAIN.

The umpire’s viewing angle is not the standard. It is whether the bat passes the front hip. It did. It’s a swing. It’s a bad call.
Like I said, an unknown camera angle does NOT verify what you claim. It is not conclusive evidence. I thought you dealt in facts, not speculation.
Bullshit. You’re speculating on an angle you’re claiming exists that you haven’t seen nor have evidence of to claim the call was correct, as opposed to the photograph that is evidence that the call was wrong.
But just to make you happy, let's say that it was a bad call. That still means that FSU was not good enough to dominate or even CONTROL Tennessee.
Controlled it well enough that if the call was correct, they would have won. And certainly controlled it better than Tennessee, who needed the bad call, or they wouldn’t have won.
LSU vs FSU football? LSU has the tradition and prestige that FSU will never have. No one has ever called the Tigers "the Criminoles."
But has a worse winning percentage, less wins in the same time, and has lost 9 of 11 to FSU all time.
Go ahead and take your famous last word. FSU will probably lose to #1 Tennessee AGAIN.
Shrug…maybe. But it was still a bad call.

Congrats to FSU for an excellent season, and being in the Top 8. That's nothing to be ashamed of.Top 4, and I didn’t get to see most of it real time. Proud of the team, exceeded expectations. We ran out of arms before UNC. The pitching staff has suffered several injuries this year and it finally caught up with us. That’s why I was upset about Friday. Only way we’d have a chance to get to the final series is win game 1. Bad call sunk our chances. Tennessee is very strong. Praying TAMU sends the Gators packing tonight.

LSU's pitching was weak all season. You gotta go with what you got. FSU's success will help them in recruiting, and with that silly transfer portal which IMHO should be outlawed.
You got your wish.
A&M vs UT. I'm not a fan of either team, so if I watch, it will be as a neutral observer.
