congrats to osu de sam hubbard, who's been named 1st team academic all-american by the college sports information directors of america. he's had 41 tackles, 7 of them for losses, this season as a starter for the 1st time. he has a 3.61 gpa as a finance major. 3rd buckeye to make it in the past 2 years (jacoby boren, jack willoughby in '15) and 29th all time to make the 1st team.

What? what was his GPA in Kinesiology?? Or doesn't OSU offer a grad course in watching people run?

Eli Apple committing a pass interference on Terrell Pryor during the Browns/Giants game___the announcer called it a 'Buckeye on Buckeye' crime... then apple nearly had a pick (one foot was ob) on the very next play on the other side of the field. I'm glad I'm not alone in watching Brown's games, it's true that misery loves company

Shocking news!!!
ESPN’s Mark May picks Penn State to make College Football Playoff, leaves out Ohio State
While on ESPN Sunday morning, May probably got to Ohio State fans when he left the Buckeyes out of his Top 4, instead putting in Penn State. The Nittany Lions beat Ohio State in October and on Saturday defeated Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game.
May’s Top 4:
Alabama Clemson Washington Penn State Here’s May on his reasoning at No. 4:
No. 4, you know what? I’m stepping up to the plate. I’m going out of the box: I’m going Penn State. This is the reason why: head-to-head. Yes, they beat Ohio State, they won the division, they won their conference championship. May said Penn State’s loss to Pitt is a “quality loss” because the Panthers also beat Clemson. He also said the Nittany Lions are one of the hottest teams in the country. Penn State has won nine in a row since a 2-2 start.
The ESPN expert then criticized Ohio State’s recent run, saying the Buckeyes “survived” two overtime games and barely beat Michigan State by one point.
“That’s not a top-4 team to me,” he said.
One of Ohio State’s strongest arguments for inclusion is its road win at Oklahoma by 21 points. But May said that Oklahoma team wasn’t very good at the time.
Even now, May said the Sooners’ defense is questionable.
“When you saw Oklahoma play in September, there would be teams lining up at the front of the stadium to play them. They were atrocious. Since that time, if you look at what they do … they finally picked it up and are playing Oklahoma football.”

Had the nits beaten the Badgers significantly, his argument could have carried the day. But now, the die is cast, the last model broken; and we have a clear path in front of us. Hopefully, this young team learned enough thru this past year to carry forward and even out some historical shortcomings, and that NEXT year, they can start the season higher ranked, and with the understanding that they STILL HAVE TO GIVE 100% EVERY GAME, EVERY PLAY, EVERY TIME THAT THEY STEP ON THE FIELD. (It would help if the coaching staff remembered that too)

More games = More $$ for BSPiN.
