I will kick off the Buckeye board with an article that is right up CWG's alley... www.elevenwarriors.com/2013/06/22833/power-rankings-ohio-states-most-hated-b1g-rivals#moreI personally don't hate any of the schools in the B1G, instead have a healthy dose of respect for each of them, although Rutgers might be one that will make it easy for me to hate one day. I would be interested to know how many lists such as this from the other schools would result in Ohio State being #1 or #2. I am sure there are more than a few...

Glad you opened your team board. I was going to open one as Ohio State Bucknuts. Probably a nicer name than Kaz or Rox would have come up with, I am sure. I find it interesting, too that non-Buckeye fans tend to use "Bucknuts" as a negative when in reality, there are quite a few websites and blogs that use a variation of that name. We kind of like it, much in the same way "Bucky" never bothered me back on the old Gator board. That was my Dad's nickname all through high school so I thought it was kind of ironic.

I think um, psu and uw would all have osu #1 for football. #2? msu, iowa, probably Illinois. a guess. unl could be in the mix down the road. I know any time I've been a visitor in a stadium, it sure did seem we were high on the list. lol. mark scott tosu 81

Ok, I loathe Michigan and Wisconsin, but Penn St? I actually don't have a beef with Penn St. If there was no Ohio St, I'd be a Penn St fan most likely.

Just saw that Pittman transferred to Akron. When did that happen and how did I miss that? Anyone have the scoop?

Just saw that Pittman transferred to Akron. When did that happen and how did I miss that? Anyone have the scoop? actually surfaced 2 or 3 months ago that pittman was leaving osu's program. didn't participate in spring drills. had the knee injury last year and ended up redshirting. bucks still have scholarship penalty this year, so the attrition fits. I suspect meyer and tressel talked... w/akron u being close to home for pittman, that helped I imagine too. hate to see him go... guy's got talent. mark scott tosu 81

this is a basketball tidbit, but an interesting one to me. deshaun Thomas got picked up by san Antonio in the 2nd round last night in the nba draft. he had a long wait... 58th pick out of 60... but what a great landing spot for him. I wish him luck... he has a ways to go but he matured quite a bit in the last 3 years. Anyway, Thomas' being drafted makes the 13th straight year that an osu player has been picked in the nba draft. that's the longest such streak currently for any college program I believe... just another example of how a pretty successful college hoops program continues to fly under the national radar.

osu picked up another football verbal for '14 yesterday... jamarco jones a 4 star o-linemen out of Chicago. that makes 14 pledges so far, and this is what's interesting to me. tressel was the first osu coach to emphasize early commits, but he focused on locking up the best in-state talent. meyer is expanding that reach. 8 of the 14 earlys are from outside ohio. 3 of them are on the o-line, a huge need in the near future too. promising.

As I have said many times, I don't get terribly excited about recruiting but I understand this kid is highly rated so as long as he fits in Meyer's/Herman's system, I welcome him.
