My thoughts on the spring football game Dear God, Ohio St goes 7-8 deep at WR. The talent in that room is off the charts. And Fleming didn't even play I've said it since last year, Stroud will be the starting QB with McCord as the backup. I love that Miller loved Ohio St but with Stroud, McCord and Ewers coming next year, I dount he ever sees the field here. And there's no way McCord and Ewers are going to sit on the bench for 2-3 years. So be prepared to lose at least 1 of them Ohio Sts defense line will be its strength this year. Sawyer looks like a long lost Bosa brother. I'm worried about the LBs and DBs. I wonder if Day's focus on offensive recruiting has hurt the defense a little. We had to move a RB to DB Day recruited heavy on the offensive side. I'm with you on the defense. Be prepared for some 49-42 scores. Oregon is the second game on the schedule so watch out

Today's athlete___I'm not starting so I'm leaving.
Jameson Williams has entered the transfer portel
A junior-to-be from St. Louis, Mo., Williams was a starting wide receiver for Ohio State last season when he caught nine passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns___Williams appeared to drop to the second team during the spring when Garrett Wilson moved from the slot to split end....That made room for sophomore-to-be Jaxon Smith-Njigba to start at slot with rising senior Chris Olave returning at flanker.

Now you understand how we felt a couple years ago about Joe Burrow...I'm willing to give y'all part credit. Sometimes the transfer portal giveth and sometimes it taketh away. Trey was one of my favorites at OU and I hated to see him go, but c’est la vie. If not for that idiot RB coach OU had at the time, I doubt he would have left. But, that’s another story. Anyway, I’m happy for him and hope he does well in the pros.

The transfer portal is great for some athletes to get out of bad situations but it also allows for quitters to quit and as we'll see more of that in the future

That said, every situation is different.
