Indiana is playing with house money plus they get a bye week before Ohio St Don't like that recipe. Plus will Ohio St be looking ahead to Michigan?? Indiana finally played a half way decent team in Michigan this week and didn't look like the world beaters they have been so you wonder is Indiana really that awesome or are they a product of one of the worst strength of schedules there is right now. Things are that for sure they'll come into Columbus rested and full of confidence iu being unbeaten is the best scenario for the bucks imho. the hoosiers won't be looked past by anyone.
Michigans defense played its best defense of the season in the 2nd half vs IU, IU couldnt get going at all.___saw the 2nd half of BYU/Utah....BYU caught a break to win that...UTAH AD thought the game was stolen from them...

I'm hating that it'll be a noon kickoff. Well according to Gus Johnson it will be, nothing is official yet It seems the Shoe isn't nearly as loud or intimidating at noon than other starting times. What do we think about Ohio Sts new defensive formation? Looked like a 3-4. I wasnt a fan as it seemed Purdue gashed it at will the times we were in it

saw where another legendary coach, at least during his days in ohio, gerry faust, also passed away yesterday at the same age (89) as robinson. in the 60's-70's, his moeller teams dominated one of the best h.s. football leagues in the country, the greater catholic league in cincinnati (13 titles in 18 yrs, including 9 in a row '72-'80) and in the 70's dominated the dawn of the state football playoffs. the first football playoffs began in '72, and faust won 5 state titles in a 6 yr period from '75-'80. his hs record was a ridiculous 178-23-2, and he parlayed that success into a rudy-like leap to south bend becoming the head coach at notre dame, fulfilling a life time dream. unfortunately the Irish went 30-26-1 in his 5 yr career there, w/the last game being a 58-7 drubbing by miami after he announced his resignation. I'm no nd fan, but I thought their administration did themselves well allowing faust the oppontunity to fulfill his contract, something I doubt would happen today.
what was cool about faust is that he was the same humble guy as a hs legend as he was a .500 college coach at nd and at akron. the guy continued to be a positive presence to anyone who needed a boost or guidance.

I cant think of a head coach now who went from high school to a college head coach. Those Moeller teams ran over everyone. Mckinley got the best of them in '81 when Moeller had future MLB shortstop and hall of famer Barry Larkin played safety

Indiana is a noon game___Fox is happy with the increased ratings supposedly so OSU will have to finish out the year with 3 more noon games. Six total x/twitter has been going nuts on the iu start time... saying they want a night game. at 7:30 in late november temps in columbus would be likely in the mid 40s dropping into the 30s by halftime. there haven't been a lot of november night games at the shoe but I've attended all of them, including a psu vs tosu game in '15. by the middle of the 3rd qtr I'd say a 1/3 of the crowd had headed for the exits, including the students section. and some want to boycott the fox morning show if they're in town (of course they will be) or attend to boo. like it's fox's fault that the big 10 signed up for its premier game of the week to air early instead of late. btw, the top 2 rated cfb games of the season so far have been the 7:30 pm edt start for tosu at uo, and the 12:10 pm start for tosu at psu a couple weeks ago.

Mckinley got the best of them in '81 when Moeller had future MLB shortstop and hall of famer Barry Larkin played safety I remember that. the pups and massillon had won plenty of poll titles, but neither had won a playoff title (mckinley made the final in '77 and lost 14-2 to moeller. the tigers lost in the semis in '72 and '79, and the year before the bulldogs title in '81, moeller absolutely manhandled massillon in the final 30-7, and the game wasn't even that close, in faust's final game before heading to nd). mckinley shutout cleveland st. joe's and then moeller. 3 years later, mckinley ended a streak of 14 final 4's in hoops w/o bringing home the hardware, beating dayton dunbar in ot to finally win the big school title. gary grant was on that team, who did alright for himself in college and dozen or so year career in the nba.
