Did you know that Jesse Owens never received a scholarship to Ohio State University? He also was not allowed to live on campus. He and other black athletes had to rent a house off campus and work jobs to pay rent and buy food. When they traveled to meets the black athletes had to eat take out or go to black only restaurants and stay in black only hotels.
