LSU D Takes a Major Hit

Literally.  Harold Perkins Jr. has been a huge part of LSU's defense, as weak as it is, and now he is out for the season with a knee injury.   Somebody needs to step up in a hurry.   Thank goodness the replacements get to work against USA for the first game.

We can't use it as excuse, though.

The Tigers have lost a lot of good players already, so the fill-ins will just have to play over their heads.

Luckily there are three young RB's who I think can handle John Emery Jr's load, but that doesn't make it easier for the D.

The O is going to have to hand on to the ball and eat up the clock, or score often to help out the D.

One game at a time, and please, no more injuries!

That's why I don't like this transfer portal shit.  A team can get good help instantly, but a spoiled brat can leave them in a bind, too.

I salute Garrett Nussmeier for waiting his turn behind Jalen Daniels, instead of transferring out.  So far, it is working for him and LSU.

I'm not saying transfers hurt FSU, since I don't know.  That's just a general observation.

Daniels looked really good tonite. I was very impressed.

I didn't watch it all.  I know he set a record for completion % by a rookie, and he did a good job with his legs.

Burrow looks stupid with blonde hair.  Being "cool" does not suit him.

It didn't cost them the game, but the refs DID rob the Bengals of a 2 point conversion on a piss poor botched PI call that should have been made but wasn't.

I wonder if it was the female ref who blew it.

This year, defense has started to look better, but we are so anemic on offense it isn’t funny. Going to be a long season.

Don’t understand why we don’t do the same. DJU looks slow, unsure, and has a slow delivery, despite the rocket arm.

We have two young guys who are supposed to be uber talented…but don’t get to play.

QB’s always get a longer grace period. Until they lose the room, and that’s when a change is usually made. By the room, I mean the other players. And OU’s former starter has clearly lost the room. For now, at least.
