Bevo sent Uga running for his life at the Sugar Bowl in 2019. Leads me to ask which CFB mascot/nickname would win a fight to the death? Rules:One participant per school. Large outdoor wilderness arena. Fight to the death.
I saw this posted within the same thread and will C&P to save time, my time.
Outcome: The battle opens with a carnage of small mammals. Nittany Lions, several Tigers, Huskies, Bears, and other apex predators feast on Gophers, Beavers, Badgers, and Wildcats. Birds escape quickly, some smaller creatures are overlooked. The humanoids, bewildered by the sudden appearance of so much dangerous wildlife, flee.
The next hours see alliances form and unprepared participants killed. The Red Raider, after shooting a Duck with his pistol, is set upon and killed by a tribe consisting of a Ute, Seminole, Illini, and Sioux. A Spartan, seeing a familiar soldier attacked by two tigers, runs to the aid of his endangered brethren. Together they kill the purple tiger and wound the orange one, and only after does the Spartan realize he saved not a Spartan, but a Trojan. Their cultural similarity leads to them becoming fast friends, and they pioneer the two-man phalanx formation. The Cornhusker, Sooner, Volunteer, Boilermaker, and Pistol Pete, united by their earnest work ethic, begin work on a small village where they intend to settle down and grow crops.
On Day two, few participants remain. The night was deadly with cross-species killing, and only the orange tiger remains of the big cats. The Elephant killed one overconfident Bear, while the other died from wound sustained in a fight with a lion. The Gator catches and eats a confused Bison crossing a river. The Trojan and Spartan, with nothing better to do, hunt down the orange tiger and feast that evening on tiger steaks. The Mountaineer desperate for food, shoots down an eagle. The village of humans cuts down a large coniferous tree and begin building a cabin.
That night, the Native Americans launch an attack on the settlement. The Volunteer and Pistol Pete fight back valiantly, but see little to shoot at. A Seminole spear flying out of the dark kills the Volunteer. Pistol Pete returns fire, killing the Seminole, he also kills a charging Sioux warrior, but is forced to reload before a spinning Ute tomahawk hits him in the gut. The Cornhusker, Boilermaker, and Sooner try to fight, but are no match for the native warriors. However, with his last act the Boilermaker caves in the skull of the Illini with a wrench. The Ute scalps the dead and leaves the village, satisfied. Before he enters the forest, a musket pellet hits him in the chest. The Mountaineer smiles in the night.
Day three. The Trojan and Spartan start the day eating Gator, then set out looking for more animals to hunt. Some distance away, the Elephant unwittingly steps on a Horned Frog, but the pain prompts it into a charge, heading straight for the Greeks. The Spartan, paralyzed with fear from his last elephant encounter during Alexander's war in India, flees. The Phalanx is broken, but the Trojan vows to fight on and stands his ground. He is impaled on the Elephant's tusk, but manages to slit the Elephants throat before dying.
The Spartan turn in time to see the elephant slump over the body of his friend. Then he feels a sharp pain in his back just before hearing the crack of musket fire. His armor slows the bullet, but doesn't stop it. Wounded, the Spartan turns and sees a coonskin cap peeking out of the foliage. The Spartan charges the Mountaineer, who struggles to reload his musket under pressure. The Spartan heaves his bronze-tipped spear, which rips through the Mountaineer's throat and kills him instantly.
The Spartan, delirious and dying of blood loss, collapses next to a tree. He picks up a small nut from the ground and takes a bite. As he crushes it between his teeth, he hears a tremendous boom and loud voices speaking in a language he can't understand. He doesn't know it, but he has won the competition. Unfortunately, the Buckeye's poisons act quickly, and the Spartan dies before he ever receives his prize.
THE END. Though not the end for me.
What or who can face a Cat V Hurricane or Cyclone? Ah maybe a Sun Devil or a Blue Devil. Who then would have to face God Almighty represented by the Baptist Demon Deacon.
Demon Deacon it is.
