After this weekend, the SEC will REALLY get wild!
#1 Texas is in danger of losing to Georgia, who has one conference loss. Alabama has 2 losses.aa As of now, LSU and Texas A&M are the only teams undefeated in conference, and one of THEM will have to lose next weekend.
Stuff's getting pretty hairy down here, y'all.
LSU looked BAD beating Arkansas tonight. Too damn many penalties that were drive killers, forcing them to kick FG's instead of scoring TD's. Again, too many long pass attempts that went for naught, leaving them in 2nd- and 3rd-and long situations. That shit will come back to bite you on the ass.

Georgia is now 6-1, with a bye week. Then we play Florida, Ole Miss, and Tennessee back-to-back-to-back. If Georgia wins those game we will be in the SECCG. Will we play Texas, Tennessee, or LSU? Who knows?

The only game that matters now is next week in College Station. After that game, only one team will be leading the SEC, and it will be either LSU or Texas A&M. LSU, A&M, Tennessee, Missouri, and Texas are also 6-1, so that number doesn't mean squat.
ZERO in conference is the number that counts.

That's true, and right now no one knows what team it would be that fits that criteria. Except that one must be from the SECE and one from the SECW.

?? Don’t think that is right. My understanding is there are no longer dvisions in the SEC. The top two teams are chosen, regardless of geography.

Either way, LSU's only job is to beat Texas A&M, and then move on the next game. That's as far as I am looking ahead.

What are you smoking?you had tosu automatically winning its entire remaining schedule except for the trip to state college, and criticized me (later saying it was really a compliment of the bucks) for other ranked teams at the time (nebraska, indiana, michigan) which I said were not automatic. that's not '1 game at a time'. and I don't smoke.

Ohio State will win the rest of their games (only Penn State is questionable) one game at a time. MAYBE something weird might happen with one of the other teams, but I sincerely doubt it. Are you claiming that somehow Ohio State just falls apart in some future game?
My statement stands.
I wasn't referring to tobacco, either.

I wasn't referring to tobacco, either. lmao. you love to put words in someone else's mouth that wasn't said in order to make your point. every game is its own opera... the matchups, the weather, the strategy, the injuries, the penalty/non-penalty calls, the bounces of an oddly shaped ball, who's having trouble w/a girlfriend, or nil sponsor, who's motivated after a bad loss or looking ahead to a future opponent, they all matter. you don't have to 'fall apart' to lose a game. in any league. and you know that, even w/your sec blinders on.

Will they change coaches next year, or just change their name to the Goners? Swooners?
