Unless no friends or relatives are available. Then they become orphans unless they leave. Is that what you want? I don't want to pay a dime to support those kids and thousands like them for what could be more than a decade of guardianship if I don't have to. Do you? I think it would be strange if a family decided to leave their minor child here with no visible support. But, if that minor is an American citizen then he/she is entitled to all the normal support we have here for homeless children. Of the 11 million to be deported, how many have American children? If just 1 in 11 has just one, and say half of them decide to stay, that's a half million kids to be housed, clothed, fed and educated under US government care until they turn 18. We want US taxpayers to pay for that...why again? |

Those American citizens certainly have the option to leave of their own free will.
NO American citizen will be deported.
Do you think aiding and abetting a crime is also a crime?
Yes or no. If the parents are illegal and the kid is American, Homan has specifically said the American will be deported with their parents. I do not want taxpayers to have to pay to support the American kid who we, by Homan's actions, just turned into an orphan. Some Americans simply do not have the same rights as others. DEI means didn't earn it, right? The kid didn't earn it and has to go.
The problem would not be so bad if Bitem and Harris hadn't opened the floodgates to millions of illegals. I do not want taxpayers to support criminal invaders who don't belong here, period.
Homan is correct. Anyone who came across the border illegally is a CRIMINAL, by definition, and BY LAW.
The anchor baby law should be repealed ASAP. America doesn't NEED populating like it did in the 18th century.
You claim you want the U.S. to be like the rest of the world. Guess what?
Out of all the advanced nations in the world, ONLY the U.S. and Canada still have anchor baby laws. The rest of the world has declared, rightly so, that a child born of foreign parents who are not citizens of their country, are citizens of the PARENTS' country.
Does that fix the problem of current anchor babies? NO.
But if anyone is a TRUE parent, and knows he is going to be deported, then he should do the right thing and bring his child with him, in order to maintain the family cohesiveness.
Homan has said that anyone who wants to self-deport will be provided with transportation by the U.S. gov't to return home.
You are correct that some Americans don't have the same rights as others. American ADULTS have more legal rights than their American juvenile children do.
So by extension, when an anchor baby leaves the U.S., he certainly has the right to return when he has reached the age of majority, if he wants to leave his parents behind in Zimbabwe or wherever.
Problem solved.
