I am so glad that worthless Raytheon Missile Salesman Lloyd Austin is soon to be gone. It would take me an hour to list all the mistakes that incompetent fool has made. Everyone was afraid to call him out but my god. Afghanistan, Africa, Syria, Ukraine, his mistakes and incompetence are legendary.

Can one who has retired be called back into service for that purpose? Wouldn’t that be like trying to impeach a President after he left office? I can’t stand the guy but….

My brother and I have talked about this (not Milley, but retirement in general) and as best I can recall, since a military officer is commissioned by the POTUS himself, he retains his commission for the rest of his life, unless he voluntarily resigns that commission or does something to get it revoked.

Unless Milley resigned his commission or had it yanked, he is STILL an Army officer, and subject to UCMJ.

Something people need to understand about the Hegseth pick.

Our military is in crisis.

Our navy can barely build ships anymore. Our army has squandered years of munitions on the Ukraine quagmire.

Our soldiers are out of shape and morale is low.

Our country lost in Afghanistan and is losing right now to Houthis in Yemen.

Our military purged thousands of experienced patriots for not getting a Covid shot.

Professors warn that standards at our service academies have declined precipitously.

Our military had officers pick a fight with Tucker Carlson because he didn’t want pregnant women on the frontlines.

Our military admits mentally ill people who think they are the opposite sex and pays for their unnecessary medical procedures.

Our generals leak to the media about defying orders they might not like from President Trump.

All of this happened with “experienced” establishment generals running things. It’s unacceptable, and if it continues our country will keep losing wars, until we lose one we can’t afford to lose.

We need a SecDef who understands the scale of this problem and is ready for bold, decisive action. We need a smart outsider — and Pete Hegseth is a brilliant man who has thrived in the military, in academia, in finance, and in media. He understands the nature of this crisis and is ready to attack it immediately.

The people complaining think things are fine. They are afraid of losing cushy sinecures and lavish contracts. They want to maintain a failing status quo that works for them.

They should be ignored.

Under Article 2 of the UCMJ, retired officers who are receiving retirement benefits or were transferred to the reserves are still considered under military jurisdiction. This allows the military to recall retirees to active duty to face court-martial proceedings if they have violated or are violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Major General James J. Grazioplene is one of many examples.
